You will fall in love with this beautiful necklace! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand strung out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise beads. The necklace is made up of THREE strands that consist of: 8-mm Turquoise rondelle beads and Turquoise free formed beads that have an average measurement of 18-mm. The three strands in this necklace elegantly graduate, while being held together by two 14-mm fancy divider beads so that the necklace will lay perfectly around your neck. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone and bead for a beautiful look. The cones are stamped sterling.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
